If mechanical refrigeration fails or is failing, the temperature control (set 1-2º) behind primary refrigeration setpoint starts liquid CO2 flow thru the patented evaporator and takes over the cooling job.
Boost Cooling - If the product is warm when loaded, the CO2 Cooling can aid the mechanical refrigeration to bring the container down to temperature more quickly.
CO2 Atmospheric Blanketing - Controls CO2 level in the container to prevent product degradation or rot during transport. Current range 0 to 50,000 PPM.
O2 Atmospheric Blanketing - Controls O2 level using outside scavenging air to prevent product degradation or rot during transport. Current range 0-21% (usually set @3%).
Container Pressure - To control atmospheric pressure with-in the container as temperature and pressure modulates within the container.
CO2 Tanks - On board storage capacity is 600 pounds.
CO2 Tank Storage - Tanks are filled simultaneously in place by weight. Each load cell has a different address and the control can track usage of trailers or containers. This usage tracking can warn the shipper of degradation or a failure of the on board mechanical refrigeration.
CO2 Usage - Depending on outside temperature, product temperature when loaded, atmospheric blanketing percentage setpoint and temperature desired the 600# on board tanks should last 1.5 - 7 days.
